Building Curiosity: Rover Rocks Rocker-Bogie
The Mars Science Laboratory will launch from Florida in late 2011 and land on Mars in August 2012. Curiosity will study whether the landing region has ever had environmental conditions favorable for life and for preserving evidence of life if it once existed.
JPL, a division of Caltech, manages the Mars Science Laboratory project for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, Washington. More information about the mission is online at: http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl.
