In this image, a group of seven engineers sit at their computer consoles, which are set up in 4 parallel rows. Each station has a blue triangular sign atop it that identifies the job function of the person siting there. For example: telecommunication, attitude control, navigation, etc. In the background are two large screens that display mission data. The engineers are all wearing headsets that they use to communicate with one another. This image is a still animation of the boxy Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter spacecraft against the black background of space, dotted with stars. Coming from the center of the boxy bus of the craft is white light that is meant to represent the firing of six main engines. Extending from both sides of the spacecraft bus are the large solar panels that resemble two billboards. The curve of Mars is on the right side of the image. The planet is a muted rust color and its atmosphere is represented by a thin, ghostly blue. MRO Going into Orbit - 03/10/2006
